Psychosynthesis is a form of psychotherapy developed by Roberto Assagioli in the 1920s, that integrates various psychological theories and practices to help individuals achieve personal growth and self-realization. It emphasizes the holistic nature of human experience, considering not just the mind and emotions but also the spiritual and transpersonal dimensions.
Central to psychosynthesis is the concept of self-realization or the process of discovering and actualizing one’s true self. This involves recognizing and integrating different aspects of the personality.
Psychosynthesis posits that individuals have multiple subpersonalities or facets of the self that can sometimes be in conflict. Understanding and harmonizing these subpersonalities is crucial for personal growth.
It incorporates a transpersonal perspective, considering spiritual experiences and higher states of consciousness as part of psychological healing and development. The idea of the will is central, with a focus on helping individuals develop their inner strength and personal power to make choices that align with their true self.
I help clients explore different aspects of their personality, including subpersonalities and unresolved inner conflicts. This exploration aims to foster a more integrated and harmonious self. Through various techniques and exercises, such as guided imagery, art therapy, visualization, and meditation, I assist clients in discovering their deeper self and personal values, and re-framing and changing limiting beliefs, limiting self-concepts and limiting personality aspects.
By working through internal conflicts and fragmented aspects of the self, clients can achieve greater internal cohesion and resolve issues that may be causing emotional or psychological distress.
I support clients in strengthening their sense of will and personal agency, helping them make empowered choices and pursue goals that reflect their true self. For clients interested in exploring spiritual dimensions, psychosynthesis counselling can provide a framework to integrate these experiences into their overall psychological growth. The counselling process takes a holistic view of the individual, addressing not only mental and emotional concerns but also incorporating aspects of physical, social, and spiritual well-being.
Overall, psychosynthesis counselling aims to support clients in achieving a more cohesive and fulfilling sense of self, enhancing personal growth and self-awareness in a comprehensive and integrative manner.

Spiritual counselling focuses on learning to allow yourself to experience the wholeness that you already are, but that may be outside of your awareness due to fearful beliefs of loss, lack and inadequacy. It is about helping you to get in touch with the Love, Joy and Peace that is always available to you by removing the blocks opposing them and aligning you with the Truth that you are inherently valuable; wholly loveable, wholly loving and wholly loved.
